Aprašymas

The official two-volume companion to the 2026 Biennale, a tribute to the sonorous, life-affirming potential of curator Koyo Kououh's final project

Published with La Biennale di Venezia.

The official catalog for the 2026 Venice Biennale, In Minor Keys comprises two volumes: Volume I is dedicated to the exhibition curated by Koyo Kouoh (1967-2025), and Volume II is dedicated to the National Participations and Collateral Events. Centering artists, the catalog features four-page spreads on each contributor to the exhibition, affording space for a substantive short essay, as well as studio and sketch images that convey the ideas and processes behind their works on view. The artists, furthermore, were invited to select the writers for their allocated essays, resulting in a chorus of over 100 authors. The catalog additionally features eight original essays by curators and scholars that address motifs or constellations of practices in the exhibition, as well as "Invocations," original, freeform literary interventions authored by Ken Bugul, Teju Cole, Natalie Diaz, Frieda Ekotto and Abdaljawad Omar.
