It’s been over twenty years since Tadek left Poland, emigrating to Israel with his mother and siblings in an escape from his violent, alcoholic father. The year is now 1988 and Tadek is no longer a fearful child. Instead, he is a failed writer, abandoned by his wife and only child, leaving him with the same fate as his father. In an attempt to make sense of his life, Tadek decides to return to Poland to face the shadowy paternal figure from his childhood. Upon arrival, what he finds is a fragile old man on the brink of death. Unable to love him or hate him, Tadek must face the father of his past and the frail figure before him now in an attempt of an impossible reconciliation.
