John Newman lives in Westerville, Ohio with his wife Susie. They have four wonderful adult children. John graduated from Otterbein College with a B.A. in Education and from The Ohio State University with an M.A. in Educational Administration. He is a retired educator, spending over forty years in the field as a teacher and administrator. John enjoys spending time with family, bicycling, nature, and travel.

Ellie Newman is the youngest child and only daughter of John and Susie Newman. She graduated from Village Academy in Powell, Ohio. Currently, she is attending Otterbein University with a major in Communication Studies and minors in Journalism and Dance. Ellie enjoys writing, public speaking, and dancing. The illustrations for this book were developed by Ellie while in quarantine due to the pandemic. She hopes you enjoy the book.
