Aubrey, Evan, and the Hurricane, tells a story about two kids who evacuate with their parents during a storm. They're scared, worried and sad when they discover parts of their home and some of their favorite toys were destroyed. But they quickly learn what's really important - their safety!

Author Jennifer Bauer and her family evacuated their Florida home when Hurricane Irma threatened the area in September, 2017. She was worried and unsure how to talk to her kids about the uncertainty of the pending storm; Bauer looked for a book to help start the conversation but couldn't find one. So, she wrote one.

Bauer wants Aubrey, Evan, and the Hurricane to help parents make a scary conversation easier. Hopefully, it will also ease the fears and prepare other kids who find themselves in similar situations.
