Aprašymas
Seventeen-year-old Ariessy's nan has drummed it into her that she must never speak to the Vald, the wolf-shifters who uphold the laws protecting humanity from other supernatural races, for fear they'll discover a secret-that Ariessy isn't who she thinks she is.
As a Seiva, Ariessy can only use her magical abilities to protect Mother Earth and all nonhuman inhabitants. And she must never reveal her sorcery to humankind.
However, that's about to become more challenging when she learns she'll be teaching a workshop to human children from the local community . . . and working closely with Hale, an attractive human who's volunteered to help.
To make matters worse, her father is suffering from a mysterious illness, and as time passes, sorcery is becoming less effective in healing him.
Desperate to cure Ariessy's father, her nan finds a Galdrbook, a dangerous spell book forbidden by the Vald. Before long, Ariessy is caught between the Seivar establishment and the wolves she's always feared. But no one is who they seem, including Ariessy herself.
As danger threatens, Ariessy's life hangs in the balance, and her secret will either save her...or kill her.
*Please note: As the names of the supernatural creatures in the book are a fictional Norse language, the author has ended the plurals with 'r' instead of 's'. One Seiva, two Seivar, etc...
