His book is made up of parallel stories about two kids (Aria and Sol) who find themselves in a rather confusing world just behind their houses. It is somewhere between a sideways dream and a broken-down 1970's carnival ride... of course, laced with a bit of satire here and there, and possibly somewhere else.
