The last they have of her ever since her mysterious disappearance a year ago. Furious, Amir takes off and comes across a shape-shifting Jinn princess, a strange and treacherous creature from local tales. The Jinn, Shamsa, tells Amir she can help him find his mother, in exchange, Amir agrees to help Shamsa in a Tournament of Heirs.

Amir finds himself abroad a Jinn Express into the Kagra Kingdom, an entirely new interdimensional realm. But beyond the excitement of the tournament, and the search for Amir's mother, a dark truth is lurking. And perhaps, Shamsa and her siblings are just as dangerous and deceptive as the stories say.
