Aprašymas

A veteran-authored military post-apocalyptic thriller for readers of Nicholas Sansbury Smith and Michael Stephen Fuchs—where the dead aren’t the only enemy.

America didn't fall. It fractured.

It’s been three months since the Trigger Flu tore through the population. The cities are graveyards. The highways belong to the dead. And beyond the ruins, something worse has risen: warlords, rogue generals, cartels, and cult leaders clawing to hold kingdoms of their own.

Army Ranger Jack Miller is one of the last soldiers still fighting. Fresh out of Ranger school, he parachutes onto the tarmac at NAS Norfolk with a four-man team, a rifle he can't trust, and one job: help his unit retake the airfield for what's left of the U.S. military.

Every mission reclaims a piece of the country. Every failure hands more ground to men like Colonel Marcus Hale—a man once trusted as a leader in the Continuation of Government plan, now convinced democracy was the real disease. And he's raising a militia that answers only to him.

The infected are relentless. The warlords are ruthless. Rebuilding America will cost everything—and Miller hasn't even made rank yet.
