The first lines of After You, were written the night my husband died. I felt that just as death was transforming him from present to past, I too was being transformed and would never again be the person I was only the day before. Each month during that first year I recorded, in brief poetic form, where grief had led me. All these years later, bereaved people continue to tell me how much After You resonates with them as they travel their own journey of grief. This second edition includes After Words, which bring the story up to date.
