• After the Fall of a Cloud brings out the poet's longing for a lost time while living inside a distorted reality shaped by solitude, dreams, childhood memories, and rain. These poems highlight the journey in time and sometimes beyond time. The concept of death does not appear to be the end of everything but as a new beginning. The belief that understanding the past determines our ability to understand the present is deeply entrenched in the volume's core. • Oindri Sengupta is a teacher and poet based in Kolkata. She has been published in various national and international journals and has also been anthologized in a few poetry anthologies over the past few years. Her poems have also been adapted into a play, Another Rainbow, by Alternative Living Theatre run by Probir Guha. After the Fall of a Cloud is her debut collection of poems.
