When most people think about adoption, they envision a legal procedure-a child moving from uncertainty to stability, receiving new parents, a new home, and maybe even a new last name. Aprašymas

When most people think about adoption, they envision a legal procedure-a child moving from uncertainty to stability, receiving new parents, a new home, and maybe even a new last name. It's true that adoption legally changes a child's circumstances. Ron Brown tells his adoption story in this book, but there is far more to his story.

For years, he sat in an orphanage feeling unwanted, invisible, and unloved. Nearly 98% of the kids there never experienced the permanence of adoption. They moved from foster home to foster home, carrying labels of rejection and abandonment. But adoption changed all that for Ron-not just legally, but personally, emotionally, and relationally. He didn't just get new parents; he got a new identity, a fresh start, and a chance at life.

This powerful experience gave him a glimpse into the beauty of spiritual adoption. Ephesians 1:5 reveals that God "predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will." Our adoption by God isn't just paperwork or a transaction-it's a radical transformation of our entire being, orchestrated intentionally by God before time began. This book explains that God's adoption is not based on your goodness, achievements, or desire for Him. Ephesians 1:4 explains, "He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world."

Ron Brown has a long-standing association with Husker football, having served as an assistant coach for 24 seasons. He became the Director of Player Support and Outreach for Nebraska football in 2018 before assuming his current role of coaching punt returners, fullbacks and assisting the running backs coach. He co-founded Kingdom Sports in 2018 and has been a well-known speaker at FCA and churches throughout his career.
