A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Boston University, she earned her M.S. at SUNY, Albany, and her Ph.D. at American University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Leary and her husband, Noel Leary, reside in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and Ogunquit, Maine. She is frequently called upon as an expert and commentator on women and higher education.
