In mid-March 2020-as the Covid-19 pandemic was beginning to spread-Wil Hernandez unexpectedly found himself stranded in an unlikely place: a Benedictine Abbey in the southern Philippines that was destined to be his home for the next two and a half months. There, in the company of twelve monks, he became immersed in the rhythm of monastic life, which challenged and sustained him amidst the uncertainties of the time.
