A Voice For Me is an excellent resource for students parents and teachers. The central theme was created to express subject matter mostly from a child's point of view. These poems may be used to open discussions on subjects pertaining to students, teachers and parents. As an educator I have found that there is a great need to bridge gaps in relationships where it concerns children and adults. This collection of poems contain examples of several literary devices used in poetry such as similes, metaphors, imagery, personification, rhyming patterns and prose taught in language arts. Many school districts are implementing curriculum that includes social skills and character building to address increasing concerns such as bullying, dishonesty, disrespect, and low self-esteem.
