A Very Alternative Coast to Coast is a gentle and humorous story of three men approaching retirement, as they embark upon a walk of misadventure across the North of England.

With collapses, falls, getting lost, and walking in the wrong direction, it's touch and go whether they will get there at all! Be regaled with stories from the landscape and their experiences along the way. Meet a Lithuanian flame thrower, and the bunch of lycra-clad Geordies.

Join them on two hair-raising trips on the little white bus, hear about the 'man mountain' pub crawling Coast to Coasters, and meet a woman in a café, leading to a clandestine relationship. Arriving in Saltburn for a celebratory meal out to mark their achievements, little do they know what the evening has in store.
