This book is a collection of poems, incantations, rituals, speculative prose, and conceptual experiments composed by K (Kristin) Prevallet between 2002-2024. Although formally diverse and written over many years, each contains a subtle reference to a flower, tree, or medicinal plant. Prevallet brings these plants to the foreground as a materia medica --a description of medicinal origins and properties which connect each plant to their signature poem. Celebrating the meadow in all its forms, A Varied and Tender Multiplicity is a symbiotic weaving of poems and plants which invites contemplation between the human spirit, the natural world, and the healing capacity of language.
