Ali is a Sudanese man who fled his country to seek refuge in Libya, where he was treated as a slave, beaten close to death, payed ransom to militia and witnessed many murders and gang rape. These atrocities forced him to risk his life on death boats attempting to reach Italy, then France and finally the UK. Every time he survived difficult situations he opened up a new chapter of suffering.
