Once again, my friend Jim Brissey has authored a book that is wonderful, encouraging, and personal testimony to the fact that God uses everyday experiences and encounters to bring us closer to Him. Thank you, Jim, for sharing these precious pearls with us.

He likes to call me his "Barnabas," but I consider myself his "Timothy." Jim has been my good shepherd, and his friendship, love, and ministry have enriched my life and my walk with the Lord.

At my lowest and loneliest, Jim was the one who showed up. His servant leadership and outreach to the poor, imprisoned, and forgotten demonstrate his core mission: "Your kingdom come, Your will be done."

I met Pastor Jim in 1995 while I was serving five life sentences in Zephyrhills Prison. Released from prison on January 1, 2020, after twenty-seven years and 111 days, I now serve as a licensed minister & deacon in my church.

This book will make you laugh, wince, and, at times, put a tear in your eyes. Knowing Jim and sharing prison ministry with him for more than twenty years, I have personally seen him live out his words in action.
