From empty plot to finished house, this is the story of a Self Build Adventure, recorded as it happened. A blow-by-blow account of the ups and downs, the celebrations and the frustrations. With cats always on hand to lend a helping paw and calming purr, bankrupt tradesmen weren't going to get in the way for long. Transformed from thigh-high weeds sheltering miscellaneous debris to an environmentally conscious house and neatly turfed garden, this plot of land tucked away behind an old butcher's shop is now home. This is the print edition of the author's blog, largely unedited except for the addition of a timeline and glossary.
