In this collection of poetry Mike Fisher's words take us on a journey, not

only geographically, but also chronologically and philosophically as he

explores images, events and memories interspersed with recollections

from the world of medicine. The title poem of the collection 'Give me a

place to stand and I will move the world' sets a tone which flows through

all the poems and is encapsulated in lines from his poem 'The Good Life'
