"The history of University High School is more than a timeline of dates and buildings, it's a mosaic of stories, triumphs, mishaps, and moments that only come alive when told by the people who lived them. After all, collecting memories without interviews is a bit like storing treasure in the basement tunnels and losing the key. Through the voices of students, teachers, and community members, we uncover not just what happened, but who we became because of it.

As the historian Marcus Tullius Cicero once reminded us, 'To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child.' In remembering and honoring the past, we give depth to our present and shape the future with clearer eyes."
