A Life of Trust - The Autobiography of George Müller (el. knyga) (skaityta knyga) | knygos.lt

Aprašymas

George Müller lived by a single, uncompromising principle: he would never ask any human being for money. He would simply pray and trust God to provide. What followed was one of the most remarkable lives of faith ever recorded - a life that transformed thousands in his own day and has inspired millions ever since.

Beginning as a rebellious, dishonest young man in Prussia, Müller was radically changed by the power of Jesus Christ. Led by the Holy Spirit to England, he gave up a secure salary, refused to solicit funds, and opened orphan houses that eventually cared for more than a thousand children at a time - entirely through prayer.

This modern retelling preserves Müller's own first-person voice while rendering it in clear, contemporary English. It retains the theology, the struggles, the failures, the crises, and the astonishing answers to prayer that made his life a living demonstration of trust in God. The endless lists of small gifts have been carefully distilled so the pattern of God's faithfulness stands out with fresh force.

Here is no polished saint, but a real man who doubted, fell, recovered, and kept asking. Readers will find both the quiet drama of daily dependence and the larger story of schools, Bible distribution, missionary support, and the famous Orphan Houses on Ashley Down in Bristol - as well as the remarkable influence of his testimony in sparking the Irish Revival.

Whether you are facing financial uncertainty, seeking a deeper life of prayer, or simply hungry for an authentic account of what God can do through ordinary people who take Him at His word, Müller's story still speaks with power.

This is the life that has inspired generations. Now told afresh for a new one.
