Aprašymas
There are LGBTQ people who are following Jesus. They display marks of the Holy Spirit. Their lifestyle shows evidence of a sanctified spirit, revealing all the qualities we Christians seek--goodness, kindness, holiness, and faithfulness.
I want to take you on a journey through these debates, as I encounter them, in order to illuminate new ways for the American Christian church to revisit the Bible, remove hostility, and affirm all people for who they are on their journey. Can the church do this in our lifetime? I say yes, the church can and must. Not only can the church remove the hostility, I see that the church has already navigated difficult, hostile issues in the past. The best example I find of the Christian church navigating a challenging issue is the debate that raged like wildfire in the first century church--the circumcision debate.
