Aprašymas
The authors show that ecological understanding and environmental concern are not just consistent with the notions of social equity and the aspirations of liberal democracy, but allow us to recover the genuine moral and political inspiration behind the development of these ideas. The book begins with a critique of existing approaches to Green politics, particularly the claims of "deep ecology", goes on to examine the relationship between economic and ecological styles of thinking, and ends with a "social commons" inspired revision of Lockean politics.
