Dixie Hemingway isn’t related to the writer of the same surname, though she’s no less famous in Siesta Key. Everybody knows that when it comes to pet care, she holds the strings…and  lately she has more work than she can handle. Case in point: Not only is Dixie looking after a schnauzer with a nose for trouble—a recent dog walk turned up a baby in a bramble patch!—but she’s also just accepted a job minding multi-millionaire oilman Roy Harwick’s Siamese cat and his wife’s collection of rare tropical fish.
