Maria, Proctor and Ai, crew members of the space ship SURVIVOR, are prisoners of the rebel forces. When the rebels are attacked the three companions manage to escape. Soon they come to realize that the factory plant they are trapped in is actually not a subterranean complex but lies at the bottom of the sea. Recaptured by the rebels, they are taken by submarine to their headquarters, where Maria hopes to be able to cure the seriously injured Ai. In her Andean home village, Maria had been revered as a saint for her healing powers. She was secretly courted by a young man, but was still a virgin when she became pregnant. Nobody believed her, and her powers seemed to have dried up. Will she be able to help Ai now - being again with child?
