I remember being asked "why do you keep locking doors in my house? We don't lock doors here!" That person not even realizing or understanding my purpose for locking the door. Even in my own home, when I use the bathroom, I lock the door behind me. When I was eight years old I went to visit my dad during summer as I always did. Like normal, he'd sit me down on the big couch in the living room, grab the corded phone with the big buttons and let me sit for an hour or so calling every family member I had in Pine Bluff. Whoever answered the phone would more than likely get a visit from us. My dad didn't have a car at the time so if it they weren't within walking distance, he'd have to call us a ride. This one particular day is the reason I lock every single door i'm on the opposite side of, it is the day that someone walked in on me as I was using the restroom and changed my life forever!
