Right and Left Grand is a light detective novel set in current-day Texas, with a square dance caller as its reluctant heroine. Darla King returns to square dancing in mid-life following tragedies in both her personal and professional lives. In Right and Left Grand, she finds that her specialized knowledge of square dancing contributes to solving a federal case of confusion. It all starts with an attack on an unknown square dancer and then takes Darla through danger, romance, and personal growth. Together with dancers from her Clearton Squares Dance Club, Darla ends up in the thick of things.
