This book is a celebration of the beagle as both a pet and loyal hunting companion. It contains somes tips and pointers but is not a just a "how to" book, It is instead a collection of stand alone chapters relating the author's experiences with beagles from their birth to their death. The ultimate goal was to affirm (or ignite or rekindle) the reader's love for beagles and/or hunting. It is about beagles, people, relationships, and bonds formed based on common interest (obsession?) known as " beagling". It is hoped that all readers will take away something from the book. For the novice beagler, the hope is that some "how to" knowledge will be gained. For those with more knowledge, the hope is that this work will bring them a smile and the realization that they are not the only "beagle nut" in existence!
