Alien encounter story written from a Christian world view and influenced by the classic science fiction of the 20th Century.

A survey ship exploring Intersections between regions of space discovers that alien ships are searching the same set of Intersections. The crew, and all of humanity behind them, must find a way to make a place for the human race in a galaxy already occupied by a number of more technologically-advanced races. Discovering an alien race also forces the programmer and the scientist who first discover the presence of actual alien life to discover the human race as well; they must find a way to survive other encounters and threats, such as officers, non-technical conversation with other crewmen, members of the opposite sex, physical exercise, publicity, and politicians.
