Geophysicist Alex Cave had discovered four alien artifacts that seemed designed to destroy all life on our planet. He thought they were locked up at a top-secret facility, away from unscrupulous industrialists and scientists, but two of the devices have gone missing, and one of them is in orbit over our planet.

John Essex is fanatical about conquering space, and has good intentions when he builds the Space Vacuum-1, a device capable of collecting and recycling the orbiting space debris. He never imagined it would start a chain of events that will kill ninety-five percent of the human species here on Earth when it wakes the beautiful artificial intelligence named, Pandora.
