The setting is present day Kansas. Tornadoes continue to ravish the land every year. A bold insurance company owner commissions a mountain be built in Western Kansas for the purpose of curing tornadoes in Kansas and most of Missouri. To do so it will cost $600 billion dollars and take 60 years to complete. Therefore he enlists the help of his high school rival to obtain hedge fund investments to cover the cost. The residents that show up are not as palatable to the insurance company owner as he would have liked. Upon his deathbed, he has his peace and delivers the mountain to its more correct and fitting owners.
