Based on interviews with survivors, relatives, and friends of the victims, it profiles the people and, to some extent, the town and its struggle to cope. Sandra Burr's narration is subtle and well paced, allowing the emotion of the townspeople to come through without being maudlin or sensational. She smoothly handles the dialogue of interviews, setting it apart by changing tone and pace.
