Aprašymas
This is a new kind of romance novel, one for couples who have been married and for one reason or another have fallen out of love. Some of these couples have been out of love for years, some only for a little while, but they find reasons to fall back in love. One of my beliefs about marriage is that everyone goes through multiple marriages because they have to. Marriage is about figuring out how to still connect even if one (or both) of you has become a completely different person than you were when you first married. The rules or the “marriage contract” has to be something that is renegotiated, as well. Sometimes this is a wonderful adventure, but sometimes it, well, isn’t. It can be painful to confront all your own flaws and realize that the person who once looked past them doesn’t anymore. It can also be true that a tragedy or other event has changed who you are and you wish you could go back—but you can’t. In any case, this is a series of stories not about first love (which, let’s be honest, can often be a lot easier than the ups and downs of a real marriage), but about the real life problems of a long-term commitment. I hope you enjoy these stories and find hope, wisdom, and real romance in them.
Is this a Mormon romance novel? No. The two main characters aren’t Mormon, but it takes place mostly in Utah (with a trip to London in the middle) and that means that several of the side characters are Mormon. I thought this was a way to invite mainstream readers in while still keeping Mormon readers interested. This is also a pretty clean read, with kissing, implied sex, and lots of steaminess.
