In southern California, one October morning in 2004, a young teenage girl in a turquoise sports car pulled out of a housing development only three blocks from her home and was immediately struck by another vehicle. Despite her catastrophic injuries, Ashley, that young girl, had a fierce determination to survive.

After waking from a several-months-long coma, Ashley's reality was filled with struggles and challenges, but her mother's love and her own strength of will would not allow her to give up. Today, Ashley truly is a miracle and an inspiration to those in her generation.
