This story was written with certain people in mind. I wanted to recognize the innumerable faceless masses of humanity subjected over the centuries by those with power disproportionate to their moral right and intellect, who nonetheless seem to invariably prevail. I thought this story, though a fantasy, might provoke some reaction to injustice. The characters, inane, profane, and insane, are all fictitious, yet easily recognizable by any of us who have for instance, spent any time in American industry. No offense or indictment is intended against any ethnic or religious group. The ones included in the story just happen to be the ones involved in this particular spot in history. I believe however, they are representative of and a metaphor for man as he is.
