Ask anybody who's tried to beat BSLI---the insurance company he snoops for---with a fraudulent claim. He never stops 'til he turns up what he's after---and it usually has trouble written all over it.

A plane's gone down with forty newly saved souls en route to a religious retreat---putting a ten-million-dollar bite on BSLI---and all of it going to Reverend Damian Wardell. Suspicious, huh?

So Digger and his brainy, beautiful, oriental girl friend Tamiko are nosing around Fort Lauderdale---bumping heads with a surly cop, a boozing widow, a showbiz-style faith healer and his silver blonde wife.

Somebody's lying. Maybe everybody. And somebody else may be dying. Maybe Digger!
