"Demons" (often also translated as "Evil Spirits", "The Devils" or "The Possessed") is a novel of the famous Russian writer Fyodor Mikhaylovich Dostoyevsky (1821-1881) and was first published in 1873.
The story of the book plays during the period of pre-revolutionary Russia (late 19th century). Tsarist domination and traditional values have increasingly been shaken. The various ideologies, such as conservatism, liberalism, nihilism and socialism, are represented in Dostoevsky´s novel through the different protagonists.
This edition follows the translation to English by Constance Garnett (1861-1946) in 1913. The eBook corresponds to about 840 book pages.
