The purpose of Deeper Christian Faith is to form Christians in such a depth of Christian faith, grounded in biblical, historical, and ecumenical insights, that they can state with confidence what they believe and practice in common with other Christians and grow in the self-giving love at the heart of the Christian faith. The book is a "re-sounding," a re-catechism for Christians who seek deeper formation in beliefs and practices widely received in Christian communities.
