The main aim of this book has been to present a comprehensive information on various aspects of buffalo farming in India. The book is intended primarily as a text book for under-graduate and post-graduate students majoring in Buffalo Production and Breeding in Animal Science, Veterinary Colleges/Departments of various Universities in the country and for research and development workers as a reference. The book has 21 chapters covering the major facets of Buffalo Production: the environment, breeds, systems of breeding, feeding, prevention and control of diseases, management, by-products and finally ending with economics of buffalo rearing.
