Aprašymas

At the end of The Jackals Feed, Frank Burnham has survived the deadly ambitions of an African psychopath. The Blue Dragon Cafe takes the reader back to when the Burnham story really begins. The saga starts at the battle of Dien Bien Phu in French Indochina in 1954. Dan Burnham, Frank's uncle, has recently left the American Army and is looking for adventure. He finds what he is looking for in spades during the bloody end of that war and the early years of South Vietnam when he joins the CIA's Saigon Military Mission. Saigon is simmering with intrigue, gangsters run the police and opium is king. After surviving the battle for Saigon, Dan puts away his Colt .45 automatic, gets married and settles into a more peaceful life. He becomes a successful businessman but by 1967 Vietnam is once more bathed in blood. Deadly adversaries again threaten him and he has to revert back to the old Dan Burnham. It's not completely clear who is threatening him, but now there's another Burnham in Vietnam to help. Frank Burnham, a teenage paratrooper, has arrived and is fighting in the war. He survives horrific battles and develops into a killing machine every bit as deadly as his uncle. He too becomes enmeshed in his Uncle Dan's problems. The bloody climax takes place in Laos where enemies abound and are always ruthless.
