Promoter, fighter...and now Dmitriy Salita can add "author" to his resume.

"B Is For Boxing," an illustrated children's book which will help kids learn their A-B-Cs, is now in better bookstores everywhere.

Authored by ex world title challenger Dmitriy Salita, along with Hall of Fame publicist Bill Caplan and Michael Salita, Dmitriy's brother, this book is an "outside the box" effort to get little ones on the road to mastering language basics.

"I have been boxing since I am 13 years old at Starrett City boxing club in Brooklyn," Dmitriy Salita explains. "I love boxing and the many lessons it can teach. As a father I feel a responsibility to
present the educational aspects of the sport that I love in an interactive educational way. My brother and I came up with this idea and have worked on combining the alphabet with meaningful boxing terminology and historical events that is appealing and educational to both kids and adults!"

"A is for arena," pint-sized learners are told, and the illustrations, by Elena Stekacheva, help budding readers cement the alphabet in their brains.

None other than former heavyweight champion George Foreman says this book is a knockout of a effort. "'B Is For Boxing" is an interesting book and a fun way to interact with children," says the ex pugilist who has ten children and 14 grand-children, "teaching them the alphabet and how to read."
