After photographing a waxy parchment handed down through generations of a Himalayan nomadic tribe, a German professor learns the way to lost Atlantis (as chronicled in “Austin and the Secret of Karnak House”).

In 1945 rival submarines from two warring nations raced to find the lost continent and steal the secrets of the ancients to secure world domination.

Nothing more is heard of the expeditions until the present day when one of the submarines is discovered and caught in the World's energy-hungry gaze. In a bid to prevent the secret it holds destroying mankind it escapes its secret moorings for a second perilous voyage.

Here, in “Austin and the Lost Kingdom of Atlantis”, school-mates Bill Young and Toby Wishman, their arch-enemy Stu Briggs, and Bill’s heartthrob Lu, find themselves trapped together aboard the Professor’s old and leaky sub on a perilous undersea adventure to find the lost realm of Atlantis.

After an attack by a giant serpent their submarine is swallowed whole and the friends and some familiar companions are separated aboard three ‘escape’ midget-submarines adrift in an unknown subterranean ocean alive with prehistoric sea-monsters. Running low on oxygen, there is no turning back and each midget-sub crew must follow its own hazardous course to Atlantis to face whatever awaits them in a mysterious lost world where anything can, and does happen.
