Discover four simple shifts in instruction that will help students demonstrate what they know on any math test. Each shift is supported with numerous examples targeting math concepts that students generally find challenging. We start with explicit instruction--a planned approach to direct and clear explanations of concepts and skills. Then, chunking information makes the cognitive load more manageable for students.
