Dear readersI would like to tell you something: Personally, I believe that poetry is translatable and its translation necessary. If this type of translation did not exist, we Hispanics, we would have lost poems of great poets like Cavafis, Shakespeare, Rimbaud, etc. Without a doubt, for some it can be more complicated, since it is not only worth mastering the source language and goal, but you have to becreative, have good ear for rhyme, analyze the text more throughly and in most cases, be a poet.I have tried in this place, in which I feel welcome, to translate my poems into English without my poems losing much meaning. However, I know there are certain grammatical errors, etc. That's because they do not master English perfectly.I think poetry goes beyond structures. Poetry is more than words, prayers and rhymes. Poetry is to speak with the heart in the hand, poetry is to express the feelings to the maximum, to make the flow of feelings take hold of your heart, slowly making your pen move faster and make words are notwords, be feelings and make those who read the feelings you convey to the paper feel; the paper that absorbs everything, which gently lends itself as a means to good or evil, that which you can erase and erase but you will always leave a stain. But poetry is not written on paper, it is written inthe heart of whoever writes it and who reads it, and leaves traces in the hearts, as much or more than in the paper, the hearts are like a sheet of paper, they are written stories and memories are left, promises are written and anxieties are left; it feeds on words, making it bigger every time they tell you one I love you, every time they make you throb loudly. Poetry is born and grows in two ways, when you are very happy so happy that you think you are not in that moment, or when you are so sad that you want to forget the bitter memories. I do it, letting the soft paper impregnate itself with feelings and cause a rare effect on the person who reads it... because the paper will always be paper and the feelings will always become poems..
