Further life adventures include farming and working in the New Zealand venison industry, traveling throughout the British Isles while working in England, and embarking on a fascinating voyage to East Africa that culminates in a visit to a village in the Masai Mara. Eventually Gilkison makes a move to Australia that entails a tour around Queensland and the Northern Territory in his Land Cruiser and caravan.
