On the basis of one year experimental data, it may be concluded that soil application of 4.0 kg Fe ha-1 and 2.5 kg Zn ha-1 were found effective in improving the yield and profitability of chickpea under irrigated conditions of South Saurashtra Agro-climatic zone. Plant population was not affected significantly with the application of iron at 20 DAS and at harvest. Iron fertilization did not have any significant effect on harvest index.
