The airwaves and bookstores are choked with sure-fire solutions to becoming your own boss and achieving this goal. However, most business books are skewed to the fantastic, speaking of immediate pushbutton success. Although the guidance offered is probably sincere, it's usually billed as if you're off to see the Wizard.

You yourself have likely pursued many endeavors. We have all tried businesses, investments as well as various leisure activities. We have all had failures. As a group we love the "fail to succeed" mantra which I find campy at best. All of us would like to avoid the failures and move to the success more quickly. I would like to save every reader five years of wasted time that has surely been squandered due to misconceptions and lack of information.
